Barcelona: A Photo Story

Take every chance you get in life, because some things only happen once.

Karen Gibbs

I’ve only been to Barcelona once, but it is one of those places that will forever draw me back. I went for the first time (and only time as of right now) in 2012. I was living abroad in England and decided to go with a friend and while it was one of the more roller coaster trips of my life, I’ll never forget it and it always brings a smile to my face.

Most European cities are akin to cookie cutters. They don’t differ too much and many lack a personality. While that has never kept me from traveling voraciously through as many I can, it made Barcelona stand out.

From dancing salsa in the streets at night, to getting pickpocketed, to riding my bike along the coast, to accidentally ending up on a nude beach, to witnessing some of the most spectacular sites I’ve ever seen, Barcelona is incapable of disappointing.

My only regret? My camera was stolen 2 days before the end of the trip. Luckily, I’ve taken photos from my friend and have some evidence of my trip. They aren’t perfect, but they are what I have and I love sharing them regardless. Now, I have the perfect excuse to visit again…with a better camera that I won’t allow to get stolen!
